Why it matters

Your people are your strategy. Coaching makes it real.

Organisations in the UAE move fast — new markets, regional restructures, multicultural teams and leaders promoted for technical excellence rather than people skills. Coaching closes the gap between what leaders know and what they do every week.

Unlike a one-off workshop, coaching works on the challenges your leaders face this quarter. Each engagement is tied to priorities agreed with HR and the sponsor, so improved capability shows up where it counts: in decisions, in team engagement and in results.

Sharper decisions

Leaders gain the space to think strategically, weigh trade-offs and act with confidence.

Stronger teams

Better conversations, clearer roles and healthier conflict raise collective performance.

Faster ramp-up

New and newly promoted leaders become effective sooner and avoid costly early missteps.

Better retention

Investing in people signals commitment and keeps high-potential talent engaged.

Our programmes

Leadership coaching in Dubai, from the boardroom to the front line

Every programme is designed around your organisation, the people involved and the outcomes you need. Combine formats to build a leadership pipeline end to end.

01

Executive coaching

Confidential one-to-one coaching for C-suite and senior executives facing strategic decisions, board expectations, stakeholder complexity or a step-up in scope. A thinking partner outside the hierarchy.

02

Leadership coaching

For middle managers and high-potential leaders making the leap from doing to leading — delegation, feedback, influence, decision-making and leading through change.

03

Team coaching

Facilitated coaching for leadership and project teams to build trust, agree shared goals, surface and resolve friction, and raise collective performance — not just individual capability.

04

Onboarding coaching

Structured support for newly hired or promoted leaders during their first 90–180 days, so they build relationships, read the culture and deliver early wins sooner.

Kick-off three-way meeting

Coach, coachee and sponsor agree objectives, success indicators and the confidentiality boundary. This is where the sponsor explains what "better" looks like from the business side.

Mid-point check-in

A short three-way conversation to review progress, adjust objectives if priorities have shifted and make sure the sponsor is creating room for new behaviours.

Closing review

The coachee presents what has changed and what comes next. The sponsor gives feedback, and we agree how progress will be sustained after coaching ends.

Our coaching philosophy

A partnership, not a prescription

The people closest to a challenge usually hold the best answers. Our coaches create a thought-provoking partnership that helps clients clarify what they want to achieve, see what is getting in the way and commit to a concrete plan.

  • Goals agreed up front with the coachee and the sponsor
  • Psychometric and 360° insight where it adds value
  • Practical action plans reviewed between sessions
  • Accountability without judgement — and full confidentiality

Measuring return on coaching

How we show what coaching changed

Coaching ROI is real, but it is rarely a single number. We measure behaviour change against objectives the sponsor signed up to, using evidence HR can stand behind.

We avoid headline percentages that cannot be traced to your organisation. Instead, you get before-and-after evidence for each objective, in a format you can take to the leadership team when deciding whether to extend or scale the programme.

What goes into the closing report

  • Objective review — progress on each of the two to four agreed objectives, rated by coachee and sponsor
  • 360° or stakeholder feedback — short, targeted surveys or interviews at the start and end
  • Observable behaviours — specific examples of what the leader now does differently
  • Business indicators — the measures you already track, such as engagement survey items, team retention or delivery milestones
  • Recommendations — what the organisation can do to sustain progress

Session content is never included. Reports cover themes and outcomes only, as agreed at the kick-off.

Choosing an executive coach

How to choose an executive coach in the UAE

Anyone can call themselves a coach. These are the checks we run on our own coaches, and the ones we recommend HR teams use with any provider.

A verifiable credential

The International Coaching Federation awards three credentials: ACC (at least 100 hours of coaching experience), PCC (at least 500 hours) and MCC (at least 2,500 hours), each with coach-specific training, mentoring and an exam.

Check it yourself

Confirm any ICF credential on the ICF Credentialed Coach Finder before you contract. Ask to see supervision arrangements and professional indemnity cover too.

Relevant leadership experience

For senior leaders, look for a coach who has worked at or alongside that level and understands your sector, whether banking in DIFC, government-related entities or family businesses.

Language and cultural fit

Coaching in Arabic, English or Hindi, and experience with multicultural UAE teams, often matters as much as technique.

A chemistry call

The coachee should meet two or three coaches and choose. The relationship matters more than any single qualification.

Clear contracting

A written agreement covering objectives, confidentiality, reporting to the sponsor, cancellations and data handling.

Credential hours as published by the International Coaching Federation. Verify a coach on the ICF Credentialed Coach Finder or read the ICF credentials overview.

Coaching for Emirati leadership development

Hiring UAE Nationals is only half of an Emiratisation strategy. The organisations that retain Emirati talent give it a visible path to leadership — and coaching is one of the fastest ways to build it.

  • One-to-one coaching for Emirati high-potentials, in Arabic or English
  • Sponsor involvement so stretch assignments follow the coaching
  • Cohort programmes for graduate and early-career UAE Nationals
  • Links to succession planning and your wider people strategy

Manager-as-coach programmes

Not every conversation needs an external coach. Teaching managers to coach their own teams spreads the benefit across the organisation and makes one-to-ones, performance reviews and feedback far more useful.

  • Core coaching skills: listening, powerful questions and agreeing actions
  • Knowing when to coach, when to direct and when to refer
  • Practice circles where managers coach each other on live issues
  • Optional one-to-one coaching for managers who want to go further

Pair it with HR consultancy on competency frameworks and performance management so coaching conversations link to how people are assessed.

How it works

From briefing to measurable change

A clear process keeps HR, sponsors and coachees aligned from the first conversation to the final review.

  1. 01

    Discovery & scoping

We meet HR and the sponsor to understand context, the people involved and the business outcomes the programme must support. You receive a written proposal with format, timeline and fixed fee.

  2. 02

    Coach matching

We shortlist two or three ICF-credentialed coaches matched on sector, seniority, language and style. The coachee chooses after short chemistry calls.

  3. 03

    Three-way kick-off

Coach, coachee and sponsor agree two to four measurable objectives and how progress will be reported. Baseline 360° or stakeholder feedback is gathered where agreed.

  4. 04

    Coaching sessions

Regular sessions in person in Dubai or online work on real challenges, with action plans reviewed each time and a mid-point three-way check-in.

  5. 05

    Close & embed

A closing three-way review against objectives, repeat feedback and a written summary with recommendations to sustain progress after coaching ends.

When to invest

Moments that call for a coach

Coaching delivers the most value at points of transition and pressure — when the stakes are high and the old playbook no longer works.

  • A leader steps up into a bigger or regional role
  • A merger, restructure or transformation programme
  • A new executive joins from overseas
  • Specialists move into management
  • A leadership team needs to realign on strategy
  • High-potential talent needs a development path
  • Emirati leaders are being prepared for senior roles
  • Engagement or collaboration scores are slipping

FAQ

Executive coaching questions, answered

What HR leaders and executives ask us before starting a coaching programme in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and across the UAE.

Still have questions?

Our consultants answer within one business day.

Ask our team

Executive coaching is a confidential, one-to-one partnership between a qualified coach and a senior leader, commissioned by the organisation. Training transfers a fixed body of knowledge to a group. Coaching works on the leader's own live challenges — a new mandate, a difficult stakeholder, a team that is not performing — and helps them find and commit to their own solutions, with accountability between sessions.

Cost depends on three things: the seniority and credential level of the coach, the number and length of sessions, and whether assessments such as 360° feedback or psychometrics are included. Team and cohort programmes are priced per programme rather than per session. After a short discovery call we send a written proposal with a fixed programme fee, so HR knows the full investment before anything starts.

Most one-to-one executive and manager coaching engagements in the UAE run for four to nine months, with sessions of 60 to 90 minutes every two to four weeks. Onboarding coaching is usually built around a new leader's first 90 to 180 days, while team programmes are scoped around your planning cycle or a specific change programme.

Check credentials first: an International Coaching Federation (ICF) credential — ACC, PCC or MCC — shows verified training, logged coaching hours and a commitment to the ICF Code of Ethics, and you can confirm it on the ICF Credentialed Coach Finder. Then look for relevant leadership experience, regular supervision, language fit and a good chemistry call with the coachee.

Yes. The content of sessions stays between coach and coachee. At the start we agree a three-way contract with the sponsor — usually the line manager, with HR — covering goals and what will be reported. Reporting is limited to attendance, themes and progress against agreed objectives, never the detail of what was discussed.

We agree two to four behavioural objectives linked to business priorities before coaching begins. Progress is tracked through stakeholder or 360° feedback at the start and end, sponsor check-ins at the three-way meetings, the coachee's own self-assessment and the business indicators you already collect, such as engagement survey items or team retention. You receive a closing summary against each objective.

Yes. Coaching is an effective way to accelerate UAE National high-potentials into senior roles. We pair structured coaching with stretch assignments and sponsor involvement, and can align programmes with your wider Emiratisation strategy so that Emirati talent is developed and retained, not only recruited. Sessions are available in Arabic and English.

Both. Sessions can take place at your offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah or anywhere in the UAE, at a neutral venue, or over secure video for regional teams across the GCC. Many organisations blend in-person team workshops with virtual one-to-one sessions to keep momentum without disrupting diaries.
